Missions
Thailand
  Ban NamKhem (Southern Thailand)
Currently, the mother church is a busy hub serving the needs of this community. With services in Thai, Burmese and English, many are hearing the truth of God’s Word and are growing by leaps and bounds!  Love in Action also runs a Burmese Christian school in Nam Khem designed to gather the displaced refugee children from Thailand’s neighboring country. These otherwise forgotten children have, not only the opportunity for education, but also to learn about Christ’s unfailing love for them.

  Thatchatchai (Southern Thailand)
Love in Action missionary, Pi Jum, recently moved to Thatchatcai from Ban Nam Khem to continue an outreach we started to this northern Phuket village. God is bringing people out to hear the gospel and now a church is budding there! Please pray for Jum and her helper Pi Tak.

  Sukhothai (Central Thailand)
Love in Action began its mission’s efforts in Thailand ’s Central Province , Sukhothai. God has opened doors for Pastor Eric and his wife MJ to oversee two churches to disciple and teach CC style through the Word. Mira is praying about starting an orphanage as she and VimVim reach out to the children sharing God’s Love.

  Udon Thani (Northern Thailand)
God blessed Love in Action with a building in the Northern city of Udon Thani.  Peter, his wife Elizabeth and their daughter (all launched from Southern California) are there teaching a bible study and reaching out to the community. Pray for this new work, as we see God's hand upon it.

Burma
As we ministered to the tsunami torn villages in Thailand’s south, God began to expose us to yet another crisis. Long standing civil war against the ethnic minorities in Burma has created massive displacement of thousands of villages and generations of families who would otherwise live peacefully in their own land.

This crisis it too big to ignore, and the need is paramount for basics that the rest of the world takes for granted. These things include access to clean drinking water, food, medicine, and educational materials.

Burma’s war against its ethnic brother includes rape, forced labor, annihilation of farm land and crops, burning villages and driving the population away to refugee camps on the Thai and Burma borders. Even more alarming is the Burmese junta’s agenda to crush Christianity, and all of its influences, within the Karen State.

Love in Action supports key missionaries who back pack aid into the war torn, mine fettered hills of Kawthoolei, to deliver what we can in the way of supplies. Unfortunately, this is not a lone endeavor and we need help from the American Christian Community.

We need medical missionaries to train medics, access to medical supplies and suppliers, teachers and teaching materials, missions minded men and women to travel to the Thai/Burma Border to assist. The need includes financial commitments for rice, fish paste, salt, and cooking oil. Tarps for lean-to structures (esp. during the monsoons), building materials, Bibles in their native tongue, and PRAYER!
